Children at NCLC are engaged through a broad curriculum which includes the core subjects; English, Maths and Science, as well as lessons in geography, social studies, art and PE. As well as these core lessons the children are given ample opportunities for creativity and play, something that is not a regular occurrence at home ,where housework and family responsibilities take priority.

International reading and spelling age tests are carried out on a regular basis. The first reading age test in 2014 showed 17 pupils were not yet reading in English. It was pleasing and encouraging to see that in Easter 2015 almost all 17 pupils were reading. There continues to be consistent progress across the board with the majority of children showing keen and active interest in reading and writing.

This progress and outstanding achievements is testament to the incredible hard work and focus by the dedicated teachers of the school.
